THE ACROBATIC BODY
AN APPROACH TO INDIVIDUAL ACROBATICS AND ACROBATICS DUO APPLIED TO THEATRE AND DANCE
WORKSHOP PROPORSAL
We will explore the acrobatic potential of our bodies, starting from the acceptance and listening to our possibilities in the present.
We will investigate the relationship with other acrobatic bodies and let emerge the unique dance of each encounter. Basic techniques of individual acrobatics, hand-to-hand and acro yoga will be shared.
It is not necessary to have previous experience or acrobatic duo.
In case the group is interested, the investigation of how to achieve that the acrobatic technique is used to enhance the narration of a story and not only be perceived as a mere act of scenic virtuosity will be addressed.
WORK STAGES
We will begin with dynamics that will seek to register both our individual body and the collective body that make up all the workshop participants. Join the breath, understand the other's times, look us in the eyes.
In a second stage we will perform specific physical preparation exercises for individual and duo acrobatics.
Then we will explore basic positions of balance duo, where we will work on trust, group and individual listening; to know our own limits and even overcome them.
We must have a great responsibility on our body and that of our partner, for that we will teach necessary security measures of each one of the postures to be carried out.
We will deepen our breathing in conjunction with the pair, unite the forces of base - flyer to enhance our flight.
We will make static, dynamic and flight figures. We will do various exercises that require strength, balance, flexibility, posture and agility; where our body acts as an engine apparatus, supporting and driving other bodies.
In this way we will develop a strong sense of perception and connection between mind and body.
During the classes everything is taught according to the individual and group capacities and progressively.
